Uses for Glitterati Film & Fiber

Basic Fusing:
This technique requires an iron set at a medium heat setting with NO STEAM. Take a very small amount of fiber and separate the strands and spread them on a piece of regular printer paper. Cover with another piece of paper and iron for 2 seconds. Peel off the top layer of paper to reveal the fused fibers.

Hot Techniques:
Cut, stamp, punch fused fibers. Stencil or paint to embellish further.
Thicker fused pieces can be stitched or shaped into 3D objects.
Take small pieces of discarded fused fibers and cover in UTEE/Opal, etc. and heat.
Embed pieces in resin.
Crumple or fold film and dip into UTEE powder to create diachronic ‘opals’.
Mix with Filigree Fluid and iron heavily on a Teflon sheet to make a frosted fabric that can be stitched, punched, stamped, painted, etc.

Cold Techniques:
Add to papermaking vats
Layer into silk-fusion papers
Laminate onto ceramics, cards, and papier-mâché
Use as hair or costumes for art dolls
Knit, crochet, weave or embroider into projects

Use in tassels, beads and jewelry
polymer clay and shrink plastic projects
